Evaluation of Financial Capability of Provincial Telecommunication Companies

| In recent years, provincial Telecommunication companies did not have a proper operational condition and their operational trend has worsened over time. This condition has created Concerns about the financial conditions of the firms. So this study is aimed to evaluate the financial ability of these firms using the bankruptcy prediction models. To do so, three international indexes of bankruptcy including Altman, Springate and Zmijewski and four localized indexes including adjusted Altman, adjusted Springate, adjusted Zmijewski and Kordestani-Tatli are applied for these companies during 1391 to 1394. The results show that on the basis of the calculated international index for the years 1391 to 1394, is respectively equal 0.23, 0.16, 0.13 and 0.16 which indicate the provincial telecommunication companies are in a financial soundness situation. Also, the localized index is respectively equal 0.42, 0.27, 0.24 and 0.17. Comparing these indexes show that the condition can be drawn better by the localized indexes than the international indexes. In general, it can be concluded that these companies did not have an appropriate financial condition and their financial ability significantly decrease over time. If the assets of these companies are also revalued, their financial conditions will be worse. |
